Civil Engineering

NBA Accredited

Civil Engineering department started functioning from the year 2009, with an intake of 60 students. Present intake is 60 at UG level. The department also offers a PG program in Construction Technology and Management from the year 2013 with an intake of 18 students. Present intake of PG program is 24.

Experience and qualified faculties having expertise in different civil engineering fields, facilities as per the requirements of the course curriculum of the affiliating University are the features of the department.

The department organizes different activities like expert lectures, field visits, seminars and group discussions for overall development of students.

Departmental Facilities

Fully furnished laboratories related to Highway Engineering & Material Testing, Engineering Geology, Geo Technical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Fluid Mechanics and Strength of Materials.

Fully fledged Computer Aided Design lab, spacious drawing and furnished seminar halls are the other facilities of the department.

Civil engineering is one of the most popular and oldest branch of engineeringin the world.A qualified civil engineer is expected to be proficient in planning, designing and executing infrastructural entities including buildings, roads, bridges,flyovers, dams, canals, water supply and sanitation system and many more. Being a developing country and one of the fastest growing economy, India has enormous scope for civil engineers. Graduates with a BTech Civil Engineering degree get the opportunity to work with government, public and private sectors, with the highest remunerations.

M.Tech - Construction Technology & Management

The construction industry has become the most growing area in the present scenario. With the growth of construction industry the managerial works also become an essential part of performance in addition to technical knowledge. During the graduation in civil engineering the course is mainly focused on various technical phases with some part of management content. Today, construction industry needs the Techno-Managers who handle the entire project successfully, efficiently and within the scheduled time. Here the post graduation course in Construction Technology & Management is providing the advance knowledge of civil engineering with the management and finance related subjects. Course in CTM aims to build up the students to understand the growth potential in the management of Infrastructure sector by covering the life cycle view of projects and management of Infrastructure systems efficiently using appropriate tools and techniques.
