The students of Oriental College of Technology participated in a survey and awareness campaign as part of the NSS activity under "Swachhata Pakhwada" on 28th January 2020 at village Jhagariya Khurd. The 35 students interacted with the villagers and made them aware about importance of cleanliness through posters and by addressing their queries regarding the problems they face in their daily life. The students were accompanied by Dr. Sonendra Gupta and Mr. Kapil Gupta. Director, OCT Dr. K. K. Dwivedi congratulated the faculty co-ordinators and motivated them to organize such visits in the future.
Shudh ke liye Yudh NSS students of Oriental College of Technology who always reflects the essence of self-less service with the motto of Not Me but You took part in a rally organized by Govt. of M.P at Roshanpura Chouraha to Lal Pared Ground, Bhopal with a theme of Shudh ke liye Yudh (War for Purity) to spread the awareness for adulteration in food which was inaugurated by Honorable Tulsi Silawat Health Minister, P.C. Sharma Cabinet Minister of Law & Legal affairs and Collector Bhopal Shri Tarun Kumar Pithode. Shri Praveen Thakral, Chairman OGI, CEO Shri R.K.Sahni and Directors of OCT and OIST have appreciated the Visit of NSS students and Coordinator Dr. Sonendra Gupta & Dr. Shyam Birla.
On 7/09/2019, In Banjara Basti, Kokta Bypass Road Bhopal, NSS Oriental College of Technology students visited and distributed 20 baby walkers to the children's in Banjari Basti “The walkers are meant for the toddlers who learn to walk. In this case they will improve their walk”. Moreover NSS members visited the primary government school nearby basti and discussed about the school and facilities with local students and respected teachers. Water crisis is not a mere threat anymore, it is a catastrophe! By 2025, there will be 1.8 billion people plagued by water scarcity and what can prevent this is only efforts. Sincere, serious efforts of the society. Realising the responsibility students carry towards shaping a better earth, Oriental College of Technology, participated in "The Jal Shakti Abhiyaan" as NSS activity, and according to the guidelines issued by AICTE on 22nd July 2019. We strongly believe that without water, there certainly is no tomorrow and to spread awareness of the issue, OCT organized a poster making competition for the students. There was an immense participation from students who came up with the most creative of ideas to depict the alarming situation of water crisis across the globe. Along with the same, students were encouraged to optimize their water usage. We strongly support the cause of water conservation and were glad to see the immense participation in students.
